How Plurion operates today.
What Plurion does, what it does not promise, and how either side can stop. In plain words rather than in four thousand of them.
Read this first
This page describes how we operate; it is not a contract. If that ever changes, anyone already using Plurion will be told before it takes effect.
What the service does
Plurion runs the vendors, deliveries and catalogue of a Second Life shop. If a delivery fails, it is retried eight times over a day, and what still fails is shown to you rather than dropped in silence.
We are never in the middle of your money
Your buyer pays your vendor, and Second Life credits you directly. The L$ from a sale never pass through Plurion, and there is no escrow anywhere in the system. Revenue splits work the same way: your vendor pays the beneficiary in-world, at the moment of the sale. On the free plan our own 5% is one of those splits, sent by your vendor like any other, not deducted from a balance we hold. We hold no balance.
What we do not promise
We do not promise that Second Life will be up, that a region will not restart mid-delivery, or that Linden Lab will not change something under us. Where the platform fails, we surface it and give you the tools to fix it — we do not pretend to control it.
Your data leaves with you
Export it whenever you want, and ask for it to be erased. Nobody should be kept somewhere by the cost of leaving. The privacy page covers how that works and how long things are kept.
Stopping paying does not stop your shop
A subscription that ends does not switch anything off. Your shop keeps selling, keeps delivering and keeps its data; it simply moves to the free plan, which takes 5% of sales instead of a monthly fee. There is no cut-off, no grace countdown and nothing to rescue. Pay again and you are back on the plan you chose, exactly where you left it.
Paying
You pay for the period shown when you subscribe, and you can stop whenever you want. Stopping ends the next renewal; it does not undo a period already paid for, and it does not refund it. If a price ever changes, you will know before your next renewal rather than after it.
What we ask of you
Use Plurion for legitimate commerce, and follow Second Life’s rules as well as ours. Ours do not replace Linden Lab’s: complying with Plurion’s rules does not mean you are complying with theirs. Do not sell what you do not have the right to sell, do not abuse the service, and do not use it to harm other merchants or their customers.
When we can stop
We can suspend a shop immediately in case of abuse or a security problem, and that is the one situation where we act first and explain after. It is also the one thing that genuinely switches a shop off: for as long as a suspension lasts, its vendors stop selling and its deliveries stop — the exact opposite of an unpaid subscription, which stops nothing. In any other case we tell you before ending the service, and you leave with your data.
Second Life is not us
Second Life is a trademark of Linden Lab. Plurion is an independent product, not affiliated with or endorsed by them. Your account there, your L$ balance and the platform’s own rules are governed by their terms, not ours.
The rule this page follows
If the service works differently from what this page says, the page is wrong, and we fix the page.
Plurion is independently operated by Vox Bachman, a Second Life resident, who provides the service and the subscription described here. Questions about any of this: contact@plurion.io. What we keep and for how long: the privacy page.
